Position Overview The basic functions of our Security Alarm Technician will be to install, test, and repair advanced security and camera systems under general supervision.
Our ideal candidate will be customer focused and able to work diligently whether part of a team or individually.
Responsibilities Installs, tests, and repairs advanced security and complex camera systems.
Installs, tests, and inspects basic fire alarm and access control systems.
Consults with client on system requirements:
provides system recommendations and cost estimates.
Uses provided statement of work, specifications, and blueprints to properly install systems based on building layout and setting.
Installs wiring and equipment in an efficient and professional manner.
Services, tests and inspects advanced security, complex camera systems, and basic fire and access control systems; makes adjustments and repairs as required.
Ensures systems are installed in compliance with industry standards and local codes.
Explains and demonstrates system function and operation to end users.
Performs other related duties as required.
Continued product training, continuing education and development.
(Preparing for NICET Level II) Responsible for adherence to Acom safety and standards.
Some traveling required Skills and
Qualifications:
Knowledge of advanced security and complex camera system installation preferred.
General knowledge and understanding of routers/switches and WIFI.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read installation and system manuals.
Ability to interpret blueprints and building plans.
Knowledge of industry standards and local codes.
Ability to use hand and power tools to install hardware.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to pass a background and drug screen.
Excellent communication skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred
Qualifications:
